We have a fabulous opportunity for you to join our awesome team. We support our brilliant customers, who have complex mental health, learning disabilities and dual diagnosis. Our customer live in a range of accommodation settings including 2 block living and 15 community properties, all in and around Blyth. We help our customers in a number of ways including; shopping, cooking, with medication, keeping safe, recovery focused support and most of all, enjoy themselves to the fullest.

As our Housing Concierge youll play a really important role in supporting the smooth running of our service. Youll make sure that our buildings and customers are safe and secure, and that we get on with our neighbours!

Youll get involved in lots of different activities, which will include monitoring CCTV, regularly patrolling the premises, monitoring visitors to and from the building and ensuring that tenancy conditions and service rules are adhered to. Youll also be our first point of contact for customers during the night and at times well also need you to do some general cleaning duties too.

About our team

Although youll work nights, we do get together regularly in the day time for training and team meetings. Youll be part of our wider team, who are super passionate about supporting customers to reach their goals and celebrating their achievements.  To us were not just a team were a €œwork family€. Our managers are Rachel Nicholson (Senior Manager), who has worked for Home Group for over 6 years, and Emma Dixon (Service Manager), who joined us 2 year ago.

There are 20 of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers, were there for each other too! We are a fun loving team well known across the organisation for always having an impressive amount of cakes and treats in the office.

Working hours

We provide 24-hour support to our customers each day and every day. In this role youll work during the twilight hours doing waking nights work. Youll work on a rota basis and take your turn working weekends and bank holidays. We need you to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, but we aim to give you the time you need to spend it on doing the things that matter to you!

Looking for a more flexible working pattern? You can also join us on a flexible basis by being part of our bank. You can work hours that fit around your current commitments or even pick up some additional shifts to your main role to earn some extra cash and get paid on a weekly basis.

About you

Youre passionate and motivated to help vulnerable people make positive and lasting changes to their lives. Youll impress us with your ability to work on your own initiative. If youre not the biggest fan of technology, thats not a problem to us. You do need to know that we are quite a high tech company and most of our application process and mandatory learning are online. However were glad to support you, if you need help.

When you join, youll need to have a valid Enhanced Check under the Disclosure and Barring Service. The great news is that we will pay for that to be done if you dont have a transferrable one.
