Job Description

Sightsavers has an excellent opportunity for a Grant Finance Officer to oversee and lead on project financial planning, monitoring and reporting for the Uniting to Combat NTDs project on a 2 year fixed term contract. This is a new role building on from the success of the project to date and will require the job holder to manage all aspects of project cash flow, produce internal and external analysis and reports (including periodic donor reports) to influence project decision making. The post holder will review and amend coordinating partner contracts and budgets to enable project delivery. They will also play a key role in supporting procurement, and supporting with logistics around key meetings and events. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate finance and accountancy experience. Qualified or part-qualified accountant would be an advantage. They will preferably have awareness of overseas development context gained through working in the INGO sector and experience of institutional donor or large scale contract management, especially Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, EC, USAID or DFID funding. The successful candidate will be well organised, have excellent numerical skills and be proficient with Excel (pivot tables). They will have a willingness to continuously develop skills and knowledge to remain current with donor funding developments.
