Job Description

Do you have a keen interest in UK and international higher education? Could you help to lead QAA through major change, drive growth and be an ambassador for our organisation? We are seeking two individuals to strengthen our Board in the pivotal and challenging role of Independent Non-Executive Director. QAA is the independent expert body entrusted with safeguarding academic standards and enhancing the quality of UK higher education wherever it is delivered around the world. We work with universities, colleges and partners in the UK and internationally to promote high academic standards and quality for all students of UK higher education. This is an exciting time for our organisation as we change to reflect the significant reform of higher education in England and the legislative context of our operations transform. As a Director, you will be involved in setting our strategy for the next three years and building QAA as the independent quality body of choice. We invite applications from individuals who will engage with our vision, will be strong ambassadors of QAA, and will lead the organisation in times of change and opportunity. One of the vacancies will be of particular interest to senior professionals in finance, audit or risk, who may also have a background in company or charity law; the other will appeal to experienced leaders in business development, income generation and marketing.
