We work with employers across England to make sure their people have the right skills and values to deliver high quality care. Home of the National Skills Academy for Social Care, we offer workforce learning and development support and practical resources from entry level right through to those in senior leadership and management roles. By working with employers and sharing best practice, we help raise quality and standards across the whole sector and ensure dignity and respect are at the heart of service delivery. The purpose of this role is to champion, plan, organise, lead and manage the successful delivery of leadership and management programmes, projects and initiatives, ensuring they remain on target, are fit-for-purpose and meet the needs of leaders and managers across the sector in line with Skills for Care's strategic aims and objectives. The role will have specific responsibility for the co-design, development, delivery, and monitoring of an exciting new integrated health and social care leadership programme for graduates which is currently being developed in partnership between Skills for Care and the NHS Leadership Academy. The post-holder will also proactively develop sustainable relationships both internally across Skills for Care and externally with employers and other key stakeholders, in ensuring that leadership and management provision is effectively implemented. The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of project management, knowledge management and programme evaluation methodologies and be able to apply this knowledge to the design and delivery of leadership and management programmes of work. Strong project management and programme design skills are essential to this role in demonstrating the ability to manage a range of demanding projects at one time, working both independently and as part of a team. Importantly, you will have well developed interpersonal, communication, networking and problem-solving skills and be able to inspire others by adding value, rather than simply managing process. The ideal candidate will also have experience of working on adult learning and development programmes with graduates and the ability to apply specialist knowledge and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion to meet the needs of adult learners from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds.
